Glutamine derivatives

Glutamine Derivative is also known as 4-glutamine. Its acicular crystals were obtained from ethanol water solution. Its melting point is 184 to 185 ° C, its [α] D19 is +8 ° in water and [α] D20 is +32 ° in 5% hydrochloric acid aqueous solution. Its isoelectric point is 5.65. It’s soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol. It’s widely present in plants. It can be obtained through the condensation, addition, salification and hydrolysis of glutamic acid methyl ester that is produced through the esterification reaction of glutamic acid and methanol. It’s used for the treatment of gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer and acute and chronic gastritis embolism.
