It is obtained from the incomplete hydrolysis of cornstarch and is classified according to the degree of conversion, which is expressed as the dextrose equivalent (DE), a measure of its sweetness compared to that of sucrose syrup.Uses
Used in Food Industry:CORN SYRUP is used as a sweetener for its less sweet taste compared to sucrose, and it helps control crystallization in candy making, contributes body in ice cream, and provides pliability in confections. It is also known as glucose syrup.
