Uses

1-(4-sec-Butylphenyl)ethanone is a useful synthetic intermediate in the synthesis of 2-(p-sec-Butylphenyl)propionic Acid (B692720); an impurity of Ibuprofen (I140000) which is a selective cyclooxygenase inhibitor (IC50=14.9uM) that inhibits PGH synthase-1 and PGH synthase-2 with comparable potency.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 7645-81-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,6,4 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7645-81:
(6*7)+(5*6)+(4*4)+(3*5)+(2*8)+(1*1)=120
120 % 10 = 0
So 7645-81-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
