Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 3687-16-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,6,8 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3687-16:
(6*3)+(5*6)+(4*8)+(3*7)+(2*1)+(1*6)=109
109 % 10 = 9
So 3687-16-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and structure elucidation of hexetidin degradation products
Nitschmann,Capello,Scheidl,Schmid,Strieder
, p. 195 - 198 (2007/10/03)
Hexetidin, a hexahydropyrimidine derivative is present in many pharmaceutical formulations and exhibits an antimicrobial effect against a broad spectrum of microorganism. The synthesis of three degradation products of hexetidin which occur in aqueous formulations is subject of this publication. The structure and identity of these products is proven by means of NMR and IR studies. The synthesis route to yield triamin, hexedin and dehydrohexetidin provides evidence for a previously published disproportion theory.
