7-Methylimidazo(1,2-a)pyridine-3-carboxylic acid, also known as 7-MeIgP-3-CA, is a heterocyclic aromatic amine compound that is formed during the cooking process of meat and fish at high temperatures, such as grilling or barbecuing. It has been classified as a Group 2B carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer, indicating that it is possibly carcinogenic to humans.
