Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 103854-74-6 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,0,3,8,5 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 103854-74:
(8*1)+(7*0)+(6*3)+(5*8)+(4*5)+(3*4)+(2*7)+(1*4)=116
116 % 10 = 6
So 103854-74-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The serine protease urokinase (uPa) has been implicated in the progression of both breast and prostate cancer. Utilizing structure based design, the synthesis of a series of substituted 4-[2-amino-1,3-thiazolyl]-thiophene-2-carboxamidines is described. Further optimization of this series by substitution of the terminal amine yielded urokinase inhibitors with excellent activities.
