Preparation of Silicic acid: it can be prepared by silica gel and hydrochloric acid. Soak the silica gel in the hydrochloric acid for 4-6 hours. Then wash it by pure water and dry it more than 72 hours. After this process, you should wash it again and dry it at temperature of 70-80 °C. In addition, Silicic acids may be formed by acidification of silicate salts (such as sodium silicate) in aqueous solution.
