At the end of reaction, the slurry was cooled to room temperature
and then placed at 4 ºC overnight. The resulting solid was
collected via vacuum filtration and washed with small portion of
cold water and dried to afford pure adipic acid in 85% yield. H
NMR (500 MHz, DMSO–d6): 1.50 (t, 4H), 2.21 (t, 4H) and 12.00
(s, 2H). 13C NMR, DMSO-d6): 24.9, 34.2, 175.2.
