Description
2-Hydroxy-N-(4-methoxyphenyl)-11H-benzo[a]carbazole-3-carboxamide is an olive green uniform powder with a melting point of 324-326°C. It is insoluble in water and sodium carbonate but soluble in pyridine. In sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide solutions, it forms a light brown-yellow liquid and is stable to air.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
2-Hydroxy-N-(4-methoxyphenyl)-11H-benzo[a]carbazole-3-carboxamide is used as a dyeing agent for cotton yarn, cotton fabric, polyvinyl alcohol, nylon, viscose, and silk. It has low affinity for cotton and medium coupling capability, making it suitable for dyeing applications in the textile industry. However, it is generally not used for printing.
