General Description
Pelitinib, also known as EKB-569, is a synthetic, orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor with potential antineoplastic activity. It selectively inhibits the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), a receptor tyrosine kinase found on the cell surface, which may result in growth inhibition and apoptosis in tumor cells that overexpress EGFR. Pelitinib prevents tyrosine phosphorylation through its irreversible binding to ATP binding sites on the EGFR-tyrosine kinase, hence inhibiting EGFR-dependent signal transduction pathways. It is used in research and has been investigated as a potential cancer treatment, particularly for head and neck cancer and non-small cell lung tumors.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 326894-84-2 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 3,2,6,8,9 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 326894-84:
(8*3)+(7*2)+(6*6)+(5*8)+(4*9)+(3*4)+(2*8)+(1*4)=182
182 % 10 = 2
So 326894-84-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
