3051-11-4 Usage
Description
BRILLIANT YELLOW is an organic diazo dye, characterized by its orange to reddish-brown crystals or powder form. It is soluble in water, resulting in a golden brown color, and has adequate solubility in ethanol for a similar hue. It exhibits slight solubility in acetone and is soluble in fiber elements. When exposed to strong sulfuric acid, it turns red light purple, and upon dilution, it becomes purple with a black light purple precipitate. In nitric acid solution, it appears dark brown. The dye solution turns dark purple upon the addition of strong hydrochloric acid, with precipitation, and turns pale orange upon the addition of a thick sodium hydroxide solution. With the addition of a 10% sodium hydroxide solution, it becomes bright red.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
BRILLIANT YELLOW is used as a dye for cellulose fiber and polyamide fiber dyeing, due to its ability to impart vibrant color to these materials.
Used in Leather Industry:
In the leather industry, BRILLIANT YELLOW is used for coloring and staining, providing a good dye with excellent discharge properties.
Used in Paper Industry:
BRILLIANT YELLOW is also utilized for coloring paper, enhancing its appearance and visual appeal.
Environmental Considerations:
As a ground water pollutant, BRILLIANT YELLOW requires removal processes such as nanofibrous membrane filtration and nanoplatelet adsorption to mitigate its environmental impact.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 3051-11-4 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,0,5 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3051-11:
(6*3)+(5*0)+(4*5)+(3*1)+(2*1)+(1*1)=44
44 % 10 = 4
So 3051-11-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
