Usage

General Description

Phorate sulfoxide is a chemical compound that is a metabolite of phorate, which is an organophosphorus pesticide. It is formed as a result of the oxidation of phorate in the body of organisms. Phorate sulfoxide has been found to be more toxic to insects than its parent compound and is therefore responsible for much of the insecticidal activity of phorate. It has been identified as a highly toxic substance to aquatic organisms and poses a risk to the environment when used as a pesticide.
