2580-56-5 Usage
Description
Basic Blue 26, also known as Victoria Blue B, is an iminium salt composed of 4-(4-anilinonaphthalen-1-yl)[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]methylidene-N,N-dimethylcyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-iminium and chloride ions in a 1:1 ratio. It is a bright blue, deep purple, or celadon powder that is soluble in hot and cold water, as well as in ethanol, and exhibits various color changes when exposed to strong sulfuric acid. Basic Blue 26 binds to nucleic acids and is used in standardized staining techniques suitable for automated cell-pattern recognition.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 2580-56-5 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,5,8 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2580-56:
(6*2)+(5*5)+(4*8)+(3*0)+(2*5)+(1*6)=85
85 % 10 = 5
So 2580-56-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
