2429-75-6 Usage
Description
Direct Violet 12 is a purple, deep smoked uniform powder that is soluble in water, resulting in a violet black color, and soluble in ethanol, producing a product red color. In strong sulfuric acid, it appears dark blue, and when diluted, it turns dark purple. The dye solution changes color when mixed with strong hydrochloric acid, turning into a red sauce or violet black with precipitation. When added to a thick sodium hydroxide solution, it also results in violet black precipitation. This dye is particularly effective for dyeing cellulose fibers, with good dye absorption and maximum affinity at temperatures between 80 to 100 degrees Celsius. It is less sensitive to hard water.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
Direct Violet 12 is used as a dye for cellulose fiber fabrics, such as cotton, due to its good dye absorption and maximum affinity at temperatures between 80 to 100 degrees Celsius. It is also suitable for dyeing glue, providing a vibrant and long-lasting color to the fabric.
Used in Paper Industry:
Direct Violet 12 is used for paper dyeing, offering a deep and uniform color that enhances the appearance and quality of the paper.
Standard:
The performance of Direct Violet 12 is measured using the following standards:
Acid Resistance: ISO 3-4, AATCC 2
Alkali Resistance: ISO 4-5, AATCC 5
Light Fastness: ISO 1-2, AATCC 2
Soaping: ISO 2, AATCC 1-2
Water Fading: ISO 1-2, AATCC 2
Stain Fading: ISO 1-2, AATCC 2
These standards indicate the dye's resistance to various conditions, such as acid, alkali, light, soaping, water, and stain fading, ensuring its reliability and durability in different applications.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 2429-75-6 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,4,2 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2429-75:
(6*2)+(5*4)+(4*2)+(3*9)+(2*7)+(1*5)=86
86 % 10 = 6
So 2429-75-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
