Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1885-20-7 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,8,8 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1885-20:
(6*1)+(5*8)+(4*8)+(3*5)+(2*2)+(1*0)=97
97 % 10 = 7
So 1885-20-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Photolysis of p-Phenylbis(chlorodiazirine), Studied by Matrix Isolation Spectroscopy. Generation, Detection and Characterization of p-Phenylenebis(chloromethylene)

Tomioka, Hideo,Komatsu, Kazunori,Nakayama, Takehito,Shimizu, Masayoshi

, p. 1291 - 1294 (2007/10/02)

Photolysis of the title bis-diazirine matrix-isolated in Ar at 10 K monitored by IR and UV/vis spectroscopy indicated that the diazirine underwent stepwise elimination of N2 to produce 3-(4-chlorocarbenophenyl)-3-chlorodiazirine which then eliminated the

Process for preparing hydroxylated aromatic compounds

-

, (2008/06/13)

A process for preparing hydroxylated aromatic compounds optionally bearing at least one trifluoromethyl, trifluoromethoxy or trifluoromethylthio group. A chloroformate or fluoroformate, optionally bearing at least one trihalomethyl-, trihalomethoxy- or trihalomethylthiophenyl group, is reacted with liquid hydrofluoric acid. The aromatic compounds obtained are useful as synthesis intermediates in the pharmaceutical or the plant-protection industry.
