Description

Hafnium dichloride oxide, also known as hafnium oxychloride or hafnium dichloride oxide octahydrate, is a chemical compound with the formula HfOCl2 or HfO2Cl2. It is a white powder or tetragonal crystals with a purity of 99.99%. HAFNIUM DICHLORIDE OXIDE is produced by the addition of HfCl4 to H2O or by dissolving HfO2 in HCl. When heated, it first dissolves in the water of crystallization and then decomposes.
