Description
Vat Blue 14 is a brilliant blue dye that appears as a dark blue powder. It is insoluble in water, acetone, ethanol, and toluene, but soluble in 2-chlorophenol and slightly soluble in chloroform and pyridine. It has alkaline reduction leuco for blue and acid reduction leuco for red light blue. In concentrated sulfuric acid, it appears as yellow brown, and when diluted, it turns blue. It is more sensitive to hard water.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
Vat Blue 14 is used as a dye for yarn dyeing, cotton jig dyeing, and suspension milk dyeing. It can be used for direct printing and color resist printing. It has medium affinity for silk dyeing and can be used for dyeing cotton and peacekeeping cotton to obtain good results.
Used in Paint Industry:
Vat Blue 14 can also be processed to be used as an oil paint.
