Usage

General Description

Scandium sulfide is a chemical compound with the formula Sc2S3. It is a dark brown solid at room temperature and pressure and is insoluble in water. Scandium sulfide is commonly used in the production of certain types of ceramics and as a catalyst in organic chemical reactions. It is also being researched as a potential material for use in electronics and as a coating for surfaces that require high durability and resistance to corrosion. Due to its relatively high cost and limited applications, scandium sulfide is not widely used on an industrial scale.
