108321-27-3 Usage
Description
Piperazine-N,N'-bis-(2-ethanesulphonic acid) dipotassium salt, also known as PIPES dipotassium salt, is a zwitterionic buffer. It is a stable buffer and is used majorly in fixation solutions. PIPES is inert towards enzymatic and non-enzymatic reactions. However, it generates artefacts in transmission electron microscope imaging. It is a white crystalline powder.
Uses
Used in Fluorescence Polarization Microscopy Studies:
PIPES dipotassium salt is used as a buffer for fluorescence polarization microscopy studies of kinesin-microtubule binding.
Used in Immunofluorescence Imaging:
PIPES dipotassium salt is used as a component of PHEM buffer ([K-PIPES], HEPES, EGTA, and MgSO4) used during rinsing and blocking steps in immunofluorescence imaging of HeLa cells.
Used in Tubulin Purification:
PIPES dipotassium salt is used as a buffer for the purification of tubulin.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 108321-27-3 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,0,8,3,2 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 108321-27:
(8*1)+(7*0)+(6*8)+(5*3)+(4*2)+(3*1)+(2*2)+(1*7)=93
93 % 10 = 3
So 108321-27-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
